Sand Art Fingerpainting

Here's a simple idea to make finger painting more tactile and interesting.

Materials:

• sand
• paint
• paper

Directions:

1. Mix sand with paint.
2. Pour sand paint onto paper and let kids smear it around with their hands.

If you make beige or brown sand paint, just add a little to crab or other sea creature or some shells to create a beach scene. Or, make any color you choose to make a colorful and tactile rainbow of colors.
