Mother's Day Queen for a Day Craft

This is a unique and fun Mother's Day Craft. Use a pillowcase and make a "Queen for a Day" chair cover mom will love. The only problem is making this at home without mom finding out. Get Dad or an older sibling to help you.

Materials:

  • 1 white pillowcase
  • 4 brown paper grocery bags
  • crown template
  • white craft glue
  • sequins
  • gold paint or glitter glue
  • pom poms
  • craft jewels
  • ribbon

Directions:

  1. Beforehand, print and cut out the crown template. Also print and out out big letters that spell "QUEEN".
  2. Place grocery bags or cardboard inside an ironed pillowcase. This is to keep the glue from bleeding through to the other side.
  3. Place the letter templates near the top of the pillowcase and trace with glue.
  4. Cover letter lines with sequins.
  5. Place crown in the middle of the pillowcase and outline with gold paint or glitter glue.
  6. Write "MOM" in the crown with glitter glue.
  7. Decorate your crown with pom poms.
  8. Glue the border of your pillowcase with ribbon. Add bows on the corners.
  9. Glue on craft jewels along the bottom or elsewhere for accents. Allow everything to dry.
