Spring Handprint Bird Craft

Here's a great craft idea for spring. Use a handprint to make a nesting bird.

Materials:

• white paper
• construction paper
• felt in various colors
• brown yarn
• scissors
• glue
• small google eye
• paint

Directions:

1. Press hand into the paint color of your choice.
2. Keeping the fingers together and thumb spread, press onto white paper. The fingers are the tail and the thumb is the head.
3. Cut a simple almond wing shape from felt of the matching color and glue onto the bird.
4. Put glue around the bottom of the bird and put strips of brown felt or yarn to make the nest.
5. Add a google eye an a tiny orange felt triangle for a beak and allow everything to dry.
6. Glue finished bird onto a sheet of construction paper for a frame.
