In Japan, there is a famous folktale, Momotaro or Peach Boy about a little boy who was born out of a peach. Here is a simple craft to illustrate the story.
Materials:
- baby and peach template
- construction paper
- scissors
- crayons
- glue
Directions:
- Find a simple baby and peach template from a coloring page online. Enlarge the peach as shown.
- Have students color the peach and baby and then glue onto a sheet of construction paper.
- For a more dramatic look, cut the peach open along the middle line so it looks like Momotaro is popping out of the peach.
