Spaceship Porthole Paper Plate Craft


This Alien spaceship porthole paper plate craft is really fun. Create the illusion of peering out into space from your spaceship.

Materials:

  • 2 paper plates
  • black paint
  • glitter
  • glue
  • scissors
  • aluminum foil
  • construction paper
  • orange and green pipe cleaner
  • black thread
  • double sided tape
  • plastic wrap
  • tape
  • stapler

Directions:
  1. Cut the center out of one paper plate.
  2. Wrap the paper plate ring completely in aluminum foil.
  3. Paint the front of the other paper plate all black and allow to dry.
  4. Apply glue to the black plate and spinkle on glitter to create stars.
  5. Cut out planet shapes and cute alien from construction paper.
  6. Bend an orange pipe cleaner to make the planets rings and tape to the back.
  7. Use a green pipe cleaner for the alien's arms and antennae.
  8. Tape a short length of black thread to the back of the planets and tape the other end to the black plate so they hang.
  9. Put double sided tape around the inside rim of the aluminum foil ring. Attach a sheet of plasic wrap for a window.
  10. Glue the alien on the inside of the ring, peering through the glass.
  11. Put the Aluminum foil window on top of the black plate and staple together.
