Easy Father's Day Treat Cup Ship Craft



Here's a really simple and cute treat cup ship for Father's Day. Fill a colored paper cup with m&m's, Reece's Pieces, or Dad's favorite candy. Put a pretzel stick inside with a paper sail that says, "Dad" or "Happy Father's Day". Wrap the bottom with white and blue napkins to look lik the ocean. Great and tasty idea.

Recycled Milk Carton Boat Craft


Here's a fun and simple milk carton craft you can make with your kids.

Materials:
  • 1 milk carton
  • 2 paper cups
  • 1 pair disposable chopsticks
  • 2 rubber bands
  • electrical tape
  • 2 toothpicks
  • scissors
  • crayons


Directions:
  1. First, cut the milk carton in half lengthwise.
  2. Tape the end back together to make the front of the boat. 
  3. Decorate the boat with tape.
  4. Decorate 2 paper cups with windows and passengers looking out. 
  5. Make flags from toothpicks and tape and stick through the bottom of the cups.
  6. Tape the cups into the boat. 
  7. Attach two chopstick on the sides of the boat to secure the motor paddle.


Motor paddle
  1. Cut a rectangle from a milk carton about 6 inches long and 1 inch wide.
  2. Fold the rectangle in half, then half again, then half again to make eight equal sections.
  3. Fold every two sections onto each other and then into a four way cross shape. Staple each section in the middle to secure and cover in tape.
  4. Tie two blue rubber bands together and then two purple to make two sets of two.( colors are only examples)
  5. Tie one end of each color set around the center of the motor paddle.
  6. Tie the ends to bottom of the "A".
  7. Wind up and let your boat sail in a bathtub.

Thanksgving Day Walnut Mayflower Boat Craft


I just love this Thanksgiving Day Walnut Mayflower Boat craft. Perfect for a quick mini history lesson. Use toothpicks, play dough, and some white paper for the sails.

Thanksgiving Day Mayflower Boat Craft


Here's a great looking Thanksgiving Day Mayflower craft you can make.

Materials:

  • red, dark blue, light blue,  and white construction paper
  • brown construction paper or brown paper bag or bulletin board paper
  • 3 Popsicle sticks
  • scissors
  • glue
  • brown crayon

Directions:

  1. Cut out a big "U" shaped Mayflower boat from brown paper. Decorate with brown crayon. You can even write, "Mayflower" on the side.
  2. Cut out waves from dark blue, light blue, and green paper, the second a little lower than the first.
  3. Cut out sails from white paper and glue to the Popsicle sticks.
  4. Glue the dark blue and green waves on a sheet of red construction paper.
  5. Glue the Mayflower and sails on the waves. You can glue the sails behind the ship if you like.
  6. Glue the light blue waves on top.

Thanksgiving Day Mayflower Milk Carton Craft


Here's a cute Thanksgiving Day Mayflower Milk carton craft that's loads of fun to make and really brings out your kids creativity.

Materials:
  • milk carton(washed an dried)
  • brown paper lunch bag
  • scissors
  • popsicle sticks or chopsticks
  • red and white paper
  • markers
  • tape

Directions:

  1. Close the end of your milk carton and ecure with tape. Wrap the milk carton in a brown paper bag and tape shut.
  2. Decorate the outside of your Mayflower.
  3. Glue together 2 popsicle sticks to make one mast for your sails. Make 2 masts. Or use chopsticks.
  4. Cut out sails and flags from red and white paper nd atach to masts.
  5. Cut 2 slits in the top of your mayflower and insert the masts. Set sail!

Thanksgiving Day Mayflower Craft


Here's a really simple and cute Thanksgiving Day Mayflower craft.

Materials:
  • blue, brown, white, and red construction paper
  • scissors
  • glue
  • crayons
  • paper plate(for circle template)

Directions:

  1. Trace and cut out a  half circle on brown construction paper with a paper plate.
  2. Cut a large sail shape like the one shown and a mast from white paper. Cut a red flag.
  3. Glue all the pieces together on a sheet of blue paper.
  4. Decorate with crayons and/or write Mayflower on the side.

  3. Cut some sails from white paper and glue on your Mayflower.

Thanksgiving Day Mayflower Paper Plate Boat Craft

This Thanksgving Day Mayflower paper plate craft doubles as a pocket and is a great craft to teach about American history.

Materials:

  • 2 paper plates
  • brown and blue paint
  • paintbrushes
  • scissors
  • 1 or 2 Popsicle sticks
  • stapler
  • glue

Directions:

  1. Paint one paper plate blue and let dry.This is the sky background.
  2. Cut the other paper plate in half and then one half in quarters. The half will be the boat and the quarters will be the sails.
  3. Paint the half paper plate bron and let dry.
  4. Staple the brown half plate onto the blue one to make a pocket.
  5. Glue or staple the paper plate quarters to 1 or 2 Popsicle sticks to make the sails.
  6. Staple or glue the sails to the boat.

Optional:

  • Write, "Mayflower" on the side with a marker.
  • Punch a hole in the back and hang up your pocket. Use it for keepsakes.
  • Make some pilgrims and put them in the boat.

Thanksgiving Day Mayflower with Photos Boat Craft


This is a very sweet Thanksgiving Day Mayflower craft that uses your kids photos and put them n the boat!. Made from a paper plate and a bowl.

Materials:

  • paper plate
  • paper bowl
  • brown paint
  • paintbrushes
  • 2 Popsicle sticks
  • kids photos
  • scissors
  • black and white paper
  • glue
  • stapler

Directions:
  1. Cut the paper plate into quarters and the paper bowl into halves.
  2. Paint each half of the paper bowl brown and let dry.
  3. Glue or staple the paper bowl halves together to make your boat.
  4. Glue 2 Popsicle sticks to 2 paper plate quarters to make the sails. Glue into the boat.
  5. Cut out kids photos. Cut and glue hats or bonnets on your kids to make them pilgrims.
  6. Glue kid pilgrims into the boat.
  7. If desired, write Mayflower on the side or sails with a black marker.
