Here's a simple and cute penguin craft. Wrap a toilet paper roll in black paper or just roll black paper into a short tube. Cut out an oval for the tummy, orange feet and beak, yellow eyes, and black flippers and glue the pieces on and dot the eyes. That's it. Great preschool winter craft idea.

Materials:

• 2 paper plates
• scissors
• glue
• black and orange paint or markers
• google eyes

Winter Penguin Craft

Here's a simple Winter penguin craft you can make in a flash.

Materials:

• black, white, orange, and blue construction paper
• pencil
• scissors
• glue

Directions:

1. Cut a large oval like body from black construction paper. The bottom is flat. Also cut little ovals for the arms.
2. Cut a medium sized oval for the tummy and little circles for eyes from white construction paper.
3. Cut big penguin feet and a diamond shaped beak from orange construction paper. Fold the beak in half.
4. Cut a simple fish from blue construction paper.
5. Glue all the pieces together. Add paper dots for the eyes or draw them with crayon.
6. Glue the fish into the penguin's mouth.

Here's an easy penguin paper craft you can do for a winter theme.

Materials:

• black, white, and orange paper
• 2 white circles or eye stickers
• scissors
• black marker
• glue

Directions:

1. Cut the white, bowling pin shaped chest piece from white paper. Cut the black, body outline from black paper. Cut a tiny triangle beak and two little feet from orange paper.
2. Glue the white chest piece on the black body.
3. Glue on beak, and feet.
4. Glue on two white circles and draw eyes or eye stickers.

Penguin Footprint Craft

Here's another great idea to turn a footprint into an animal. This cute penguin will be great for a unit on animals or winter. Every time I look at this it makes me think of Chilly Willy crying big ice cube tears.

Materials:

• sheet of white or blue construction paper for background
• white cutouts of penguin front as shown
• black paint
• 2 black paper flippers
• tiny orange triangle for a beak
• 2 google eyes
• scissors
• glue

Directions:

1. Beforehand, trace and cut out flippers, beak, and oval chest piece for all students.
2. Brush black paint on child's foot and press onto paper. Wash and dry foot.
3. Glue on chest piece, beak, flippers, and eyes.
4. Kids can all waddle like penguins.
