Paper Towel Roll Fall Tree Craft

Using a paper towel roll as a trunk, there are infinite variety of tree crafts you can make.


  • paper towel roll
  • piece of paper
  • paints
  • scissors
  • leaves of various kinds
  • glue
  • tape


  1. Paint a paper towel roll with brown paint. Allow to dry.
  2. Cut the top into long strips for branches and cut the bottom into 4 short strips to tape to a base piece of paper.
  3. Glue on your leaves.
  4. Tape the bottom to a piece of paper to stand up.
  5. I saw one great idea of cutting a hole in the side of the paper towel and putting a squirrel picture inside

Leaves ideas:

  1. Cut leaves from various shades of paper or get cut foam leaves. You can make a summer or fall trees.
  2. Use crinkled up tissue paper for leaves. Use fall colors or use pink for a spring cherry blossom tree.
  3. Paint real leaves and fold inside a piece of white paper to make stamped images, then cut out.
  4. Make leaf rubbings with crayons and cut out.
  5. Use real leaves.
