Here's a simple and useful Valentine's Day craft gift that is sure to please any parent and be used for a long time.
Materials:
Directions:
Materials:
- colorful construction paper, pink, orange, etc.
- old magazines with lots of flower pictures
- heart craft punch of different sizes
- scissors
- glue
- regular hole punch
- short red or pink ribbon
Directions:
- Cut a rectangle from construction paper about 6 inches long and 2 inches wide. I recommend different colors for girls and boys.
- Beforehand, punch or cut out many hearts from flower pictures in old magazines or colorful paper
- On one side of the rectangle, print or write the message, "Happy Valentin's Day", or "Be my Valentine". You could make it from a template of hollow letters and kids can color or trace the words. For older kids, they can write it by themselves.
- On the opposite side of the rectangle, glue on lots of colorful hearts, spangles, or other decorations.
- Punch a hole at the top and tie on a ribbon. Don't forget to fold the ribbon lengthwise and cut at an angle to make a bevelled "V" tip.
- Before putting the ribbon, you can laminate the bookmark if desired for durability. (optional)
