Sun Window Catcher Craft

This is a beautiful sun catcher craft you can make from contact paper and tissue paper scraps.

Materials:

  • scissors
  • contact paper
  • card stock
  • sun template
  • red, orange, and yellow tissue paper

Directions:

  1. Print out the circle and triangle templates or make your own. Trace and cut out from card stock. You need 1 circle and 6 triangles.
  2. Cut a large piece of contact paper. Peel off the backing and place the circle in the middle of the sticky side. Place the triangles around the circle.
  3. Cut the tissue paper into 1 inch squares. Completely cover the sun. If they stick out over the edges, don't worry, you'll cut those off later.
  4. Cut and peel off a second sheet of contact paper and sandwich on top of the sun. Smooth out.
  5. Cut the sun out of the contact paper. Stick to the window or punch a hole and hang on a string.

The original instructions and template are available from the All Kids Network
