Here's a great looking totem pole craft for a unit on Native Americans.

Materials:
- white paper (or paper towel roll)
- brown paint
- totem pole templates from coloring page
- crayons
- scissors
Directions:
- Print out a drawing of totem poles from a coloring page. You can find a good one through the link below.
- Color and cut out the totem animals.
- Paint a sheet of thick paper brown. Conversely, you could use a paper towel roll or toilet paper roll.
- Glue the totem animals down the middle of the brown paper.
- Roll the paper into a tube and glue or staple in place.
- Add wings to the back.
