Materials:
- paper plate
- light blue paint
- light blue construction paper or craft foam
- scissors
- glue
- large google eye(or make one from paper or foam)
- pen
- blue cellophane tape(optional)
Directions:
- Paint a paper plate light blue and allow to dry.
- Cut a large whale's tail(fluke) and flipper from light blue construction paper or craft foam. Draw details if you like.
- Glue the tail on the back of the paper plate, and the flipper on the front.
- Glue on a large google eye or make one from paper or foam.
- Draw a mouth with a pen or marker. To make an open mouth, draw a kind of "V" shape and fill inside with alternating black and white stripes for baleen. You can use white paint or white out.
- Cut a short length of blue cellophane tape. Make short cuts along one side, roll up and glue or tape to the top of the whale for a spout.(optional)
