Easy Butterfly Tissue Craft

This is a very easy butterfly, perfect for running and flying around the room.

Materials:
  • craft tissue paper of various colors
  • scissors
  • pipe cleaner(wiki stick)

Directions:
  1. Cut out peanut or "8" shapes from tissue paper in various colors.
  2. Give each child two different colors and sandwich together.
  3. Pinch in the middle, and twist with a pipe cleaner. Stand up the ends to make the antennae.
  4. Sing your favorite butterfly song and let the kids dance around the room flying their butterflies.
You could also attach one to the end of a string and then a long stick and let the kids chase your butterfly as you fly it over their heads, like a fishing rod.
