This is another idea from my daughter's Japanese elementary textbook. You can make simple, colorful windows from cardboard and cellophane.
Materials:
Directions:
Materials:
- cardboard
- various colored cellophane
- pencil
- scissors
- tape
Directions:
- Give each child a big piece of cardboard. They can draw big geometric shapes on the cardboard and cut out. The teacher may have to help with a box cutter.
- Tape different colored pieces of cellophane over the holes.
- Take the cardboard outside in the sun. Have students hold up the cardboard so the sun shines through onto the ground or a wall.
