Dinosaur Scene Painting Craft

You can use coloring pages for templates and paint a simple prehistoric background to make a great looking dinosaur world craft.

Materials:

  • dinosaur templates from coloring pages
  • large white drawing paper
  • various colored construction paper
  • pencil
  • paints and brushes
  • scissors
  • glue

Directions:

  1. Make some dinosaur templates from coloring pages, simpler images are better. Copy them onto various colored construction paper.
  2. Choose three dinosaurs you like and cut out the templates. I made about 6 popular dinos and let kids choose. Older kids can cut by themselves, but you'll have to help or pre-cut for younger ones.
  3. Sketch a simple dinosaur world onto white paper, be sure to include a volcano, trees, and sun.
  4. Paint your dinosaur world.
  5. While still wet, stick your dinosaurs into the scene or use a little glue to make sure.
