This is a beautiful Native American Whale collage craft in the tradition of the Tlingit style of the American Northwest tribes. Use the template from the link below, cut into a puzzle and paste together again.

- whale template
- white card stock
- various colored construction paper
- strong scissors
- exacto knife
- cutting surface
- glue
Directions:
- Print and cut out the template from the link below.
- Trace your template on a sheet of construction paper. Stack the other colors together and cut out several whales at the same time. This is difficult for young children. Or, trace and cut out individually.
- Stack all your whales together. Trace and cut into different pieces like a puzzle. Look at the photo or other Tlingit art for inspiration. You'll mix them to make your collage later. You might need to use an exacto knife for the eye. Don't let children use this knife. You may want to cut out all the pieces yourself beforehand for younger children.
- Trace the whale template on a sheet of card stock and cover the inside with glue.
- Choose and glue on the different pieces of your whale collage together like a puzzle.
