Paper Bag House Craft

Here's a really simple paper bag house craft that kids will love.

Materials:
  • brown paper bag
  • construction paper or scrap book paper
  • scissors
  • markers
  • decorating materials, felt, plastic, etc.
  • old newspaper
  • stapler
  • glue

Directions:

  1. Fold a piece of construction paper or scrap book paper in half. From the fold, draw a roof shape that's wider at the bottom than the top. Cut out from the fold so you have a roof that folds in the middle.
  2. Cut out a small rectangle for a chimney.Glue to the roof.
  3. Draw a person standing and windows on the front of the paper bag with markers. Add second story windows half way up.
  4. Glue on details like shutters and a door.
  5. Fill the bag with old scrap newspaper to give it shape.
  6. Put the roof on top and staple in place.
