Here's something different for Independence Day, this 4th of July jar lanterns craft is easy and fun to make Line these lanterns in your window or along the driveway to show your patriotic spirit. Equally good for Memorial Day or Patriots Day.Materials:
- empty glass jars(canning jars or mayonnaise jars are good)
- red, white, and blue acrylic paint
- paintbrushes
- contact paper
- marker
- scissors
- glitter glue
- clear gloss sealer spray
- twine or patriotic ribbon
- candle
- matches
Directions:
- Draw several stars on contact paper with a marker and cut out.
- Peel off the backing and stick to the jars.
- Paint the jars in 4th of July colors and let dry.
- Peel off the contact paper to reveal the star.
- Outline the star with glitter glue. Allow to dry.
- Tie twine or ribbon around the top of your jar lanterns.
- Put in a candle and lite.
