Here's yet another Easter paper plate basket craft. After finishing, fill with grass and Easter goodies.
Materials:
- 1 paper plate
- thin strip of pink construction paper for the handle
- 2 long white paper ears with matching pink pieces
- black pipe cleaners
- 1 tiny red pom pom for the nose
- 1 big white pom pom for the tail
- black pencil to draw eye or eye stickers
- stapler
- scissors
- tape
- glue
Directions:
- Make the nose and whiskers first. Cut 4 pieces of pipe cleaner about 3 inches long. Put 3 pieces together for the whiskers and tie in the middle with the 4th piece, leaving a long "tail" part sticking down perpendicular. Glue a red pom pom in the middle f the whiskers.
- Tape the pink strip on the inside of the paper plate so it sticks up as a handle.
- Fold the paper plate in half. Tape down the whisker's "tail" on the inside so the whiskers stick out from the fold as shown.
- Staple the paper plate closed, leaving about a 4 inch space open at the top.
- Glue on the ears and pom pom tail.
- Draw or glue on eyes.
