Polar Bear Paper Plate Mask Craft

Teddy Bear Puppet Craft

This is a simple Teddy bear puppet craft you can do with any class. This is a fun activity to teach about animals or body parts.

Materials:

• bear template
• colorful construction paper
• craft sticks
• tape
• scissors
• brass fasteners/butterfly clips(optional)

Directions:

1. Find a cute and simple teddy bear puppet template or other coloring page.
2. Print out teddy bear on colorful paper.
3. Cut out the bears body parts or let students do that.
4. Glue the pieces together.
5. Tape a craft stick to the back for your puppet.

Variation:
Punch holes and use brass fasteners/butterfly clips to put the body parts together and your bear can move.

Earth Day Recycled Can Bear Craft

Here's another recycled can craft, a bear. Do this for Earth Day and teach about recycling. Good with the book, "The Adventures of an Aluminum Can"

Materials:

• 1 aluminum can
• brown spray paint
• brown, tan, and pink felt
• felt bear pattern(from site below)
• scissors
• tiny black beads, black circles from a hole punch, or google eyes
• white glue
• ribbon

Directions:

1. Crush an aluminum can to resemble the one shown.
2. Spray paint the entire can brown, 2 coats.
3. Print out the felt template and cut out felt pieces.
4. Glue on all the pieces.
5. Add eyes.

Easter Bear Paper Craft

This is one of dozens of holiday variations of a simple bear craft. Use the template and cut out the pieces and glue together.

Materials:

• bear templates
• scissors
• crayons, markers
• glue
• construction paper

Directions:

1. Print out the bear template. Color and Cut out all the pieces.
2. Glue pieces together on another piece of paper.

There are many ways to use this craft. You can make a card, puppet, or felt board piece.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear Texture Craft

This bear look familiar? That's right, it's the same template as the classic "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" by Eric Carle. Use the template to make a textured, relief craft that's great as a sensory touch activity. Great for visually impared children.

Materials:

• bear template
• card stock
• brown craft materials of different textures, colored macaronni or pasta, brown paper scraps, colored sugar, seeds, beans, etc.
• google eyes
• glue

Directions:

1. Print out the bear template onto thick paper or card stock. The finished craft is too heavy for regular paper.
2. Spread glue on 1 section at a time and put materials of diferent textues.
3. Glue on google eyes. Allow to dry.

Polar Bear Puffy Paint Paper Plate Craft

Here's another great puffy paint polar bear idea. Simple and easy and looks great.

Materials:

• 1 paper plate
• puffy paint (mix equal parts white glue and shaving cream)
• 2 white circles for ears (the picture shows cosmetic sponges)
• 2 big google eyes
• black circle or Oreo cookie

Directions:

1. Make puffy paint by mixing equal parts white glue and shaving cream. Mix well.
2. Cover the bottom of a paper plate with puffy paint.
3. Add paper ears or sponges, eyes, and a black paper nose or Oreo cookie. Allow to dry.

Don't eat the cookie. After drying, the paint maintains its puffy texture.

Polar Bear Puffy Paint Craft

I thought  this was a fabulous idea when I saw it; making two kinds of simple textured paint to create a unique polar bear craft. Pure genius!

Materials:

• puffy paint and sandy paint(see directions below)
• sheet of light blue construction paper
• polar bear template to trace
• pencil

Directions:

1. Find a simple polar bear template and trace it onto the blue paper.
2. Carefully spread puffy paint on the inside of the polar bear.
3. Paint the bottom with sandy paint for the ground. Allow to dry.

The paints will retain a unique texture when dry.

Combine equal parts white glue and shaving cream in a cup and mix well

Sandy Paint recipe

Combine equal parts craft sand and paint in a cup and mix well.

Make these special paints right before you use them. Afterward, they will take longer to dry than average paint. You can add a little colored paint to change the color. Polar Bear Winter Craft

Here's a simple and cute polar bear craft. Great for a lesson on arctic animals.

Materials:

• sheet of light blue construction paper
• simple polar bear template on white construction paper
• white tissue paper
• cotton balls
• black marker
• scissors
• glue

Directions:

1. Find a polar bear template and cut out from white construction paper.
2. Glue on to light blue background.
3. Glue on tiny pieces of tissue paper for snow.
4. Glue on cotton balls under the bear for snow-covered ground.
5. Draw details on polar bear with a black marker.

Polar Bear Cup puppet Craft

This is an adorable  and easy polar bear puppet craft you can make from a Styrofoam cup and some paper. The paper pieces don't have to be exact circles. It's probable better if they're not. A little oblong or diamond shaped is ok.

Materials:

• 1 large Styrofoam cup
• 1 large paper circle(head)
• 2 tiny white circles(ears)
• 1 medium Styrofoam circle(nose and mouth piece)
• 1 small black circle(nose)
• 2 curved rectangle shapes(arms)
• 2 google eyes
• black marker
• glue
• scissors

Directions:

1. Glue the ears, nose and mouth pieces, and google eyes on the head circle as shown.
2. Draw a mouth on the Styrofoam piece.
3. Glue the head to the front of the Styrofoam cup.
4. Glue the arm pieces on the sides, sticking out. Add claws if desired.

Polar Bear Shapes Craft

This is a cute polar bear made from basic shapes you could make out of felt or paper. Great for a lesson on winter or shapes.

Materials:

• Sheet of blue construction paper
• white construction paper or felt
• 2 google eyes
• tiny pink triangle
• glue
• pink marker or thread

Directions:

1. Cut out pieces beforehand; 1 big circle or slight oval for the body, 1 medium circle for the head, 3 very small circles for the ears and tail, 2 squares for the legs.
2. Assemble and glue on pieces to blue paper.
3. Add google eyes and a triangle for the nose.
4. Draw a pink mouth or use thread.

Polar Bear Hand Print Craft

 

This cute polar bear craft just goes to show that you can make a hand print into anything.

Materials:

• light blue construction paper
• white paint
• black marker

Directions:

1. Brush hand with white paint and press onto light blue paper. Allow to dry.
2. Draw details of the face and feet with a black marker.
3. Add a snowy background if you like.

Polar Bear on Ice Craft

This is an easy and cute polar bear craft.

Materials:

• 2 sheets of white paper
• 1/2 a sheet of light blue construction paper
• glue
• scissors
• scrap cardboard
• black marker

Directions:

1. Draw a simple "U" shaped polar bear body and a head on white paper as shown.
2. Carefully tear out the bear body and head along the lines.(Use scissors to make little cuts to start a difficult tear)
3. Draw details of eyes, nose, and claws on the bear.
4. From another paper, tear out a rectangular shape for a piece of ice.
5. Glue the ice piece onto the blue construction paper and glue the body on top of that.
6. Cut a square from cardboard small enough to fit behind the bears head and cut a piece of white paper to fit on top.
7. Glue the cardboard square to the polar bear's body and glue the head on top to make a slight 3D effect.

Polar Bear Arctic Animals Craft for Kids

This a great, simple craft you can do with your kindergarten/ preschool class about arctic animals, but the concept could be applied to any theme.

Materials- For each child, you will need:

• 1 sheet of light blue construction paper
• Arctic animal template cutouts (from "Arts and Crafts For All Seasons", or make your own)
• White tempura paint
• A toothbrush

Directions:
1. Place bear, rabbit, and fox templates on light blue construction paper.
2. Dip toothbrush into the white paint and flicking your thumb, splatter the white paint all around the edge of the cutouts. (The paint shouldn’t be too thick or it won’t splatter. Dilute with a little water as necessary.)
3. Remove templates and allow to dry.

The end effect is really cool. The silhouettes give the impression of watching the animals walking through a snowstorm. You could try the same concept with dessert animals through a sandstorm. Let you imagination go wild.
