Hand Prints Rainbow Craft

Here's a great idea to make a big rainbow on the bulletin board with all the students hand prints. This is also a great decoration for St. Patrick's Day.

Materials:

  • construction paper for each color in the rainbow
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • glue

Directions:
  1. Teach the kids about the colors of the rainbow, ROY G. BIV. To simplify, you can combine the last 2 into purple.
  2. Have students trace their hands on different colored paper and cut out. Be sure to put students' names.
  3. Glue to a large sheet of bulletin board paper or put on the wall direct.

As an alternative, use paint instead of construction paper to make the hand prints.
