Shark Paper Plate Craft

This is a funny shark craft you can make from a paper plate and some blue paper.

Materials:

  • 1 paper plate
  • blue construction paper
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • google eyes
  • crayons

Directions:

  1. Cut little triangles out of the rim of a paper plate all the way around.
  2. Fold down the triangles for teeth and fold the paper plate in half to make the mouth.
  3. Color the outside of the mouth blue or grey and the inside red if desired.
  4. Trace and cut out a large, simple fish shape body and 3 triangles for fins.
  5. Glue the fins on the body as shown in the picture.
  6. Glue on the mouth and 2 google eyes.
  7. Trace, cut out, and color a little fish or something else to go into the shark's mouth.

You could easily adapt this to a Christian craft to tell the story of Jonah and the whale.

  2. This is too cute! My grandson loves sharks, we will be making several of these this weekend. Thank you for sharing!

  3. Would this require a glue gun for the mouth? Would a glue stick actually keep the folded plate on the paper?
